Sahodaya Republic Day Quiz Competition
We are happy to inform you that we have received participation from over 20,000 students across all 3 categories of the Sahodaya Pune Republic Day Quiz. This has made it the largest interschool quiz competition of its kind for students of Pune schools.
Over the past few weeks, we have been trying to figure out how to conduct the Quiz Finale offline on workable dates for all member schools. Owing to the CBSE examinations taking place in late April, it seems that all schools have varying schedules through the month of April. As a result, it has been difficult for us to finalise a date on which the offline version of the quiz can be conducted.
Resultantly, we have decided to take the following decisions:
i) Considering that students will get busy with exams like NEET, IIT-JEE etc, we have decided to conduct the Finale quizzes for Category 2 (Grades 8 to 10) and Category 3 (Grades 11 and 12) online. The date of conduct for both quizzes will be Sunday, 10th April 2022. The timings of the quizzes for the different categories are as follows –
a) Grades 8 to 10 – 10th April 2022 (10 AM – 12 noon)
b) Grades 11 and 12 – 10th April 2022 – (1:30 PM – 3:30 PM)
These quizzes will be conducted in live studio round format via an experienced SkillSphere Quizmaster. Participants will be mixed together into groups of three with students of different schools participating together. Further details of the format will be shared during the quiz itself. They will be a general knowledge quizzes which will consist of questions related to current affairs, history, geography, science and sports among other genres.
ii) The quiz for students of Category 1 (Grades 5 to 7) will be conducted offline in late June 2022 when all schools reopen. We wanted to keep the Finale for the other 2 categories offline as well, but owing to academic and scheduling considerations, it does not seem possible. We will let you know about the dates for the offline Finale Quiz for Grades 5 to 7 by late April 2022.
iii) For all 3 categories of the Sahodaya Pune Republic Day Quiz, the participants from your institution who have qualified for the final rounds are the top 3 for the online quiz conducted around Republic Day. Details of the same have been attached in the documents herewith. Please find the name of the students from your school who have qualified based on highest score and fastest attempt timing. We request you to intimate the qualifying students and share the Zoom link details for the Finale quizzes with them. We shall be sharing these with you very shortly.
